The collaboration between the Swoosh and Californian skateshop Atlas pays homage to the "Great Shoe Spill of 1990" with a reimagined version of the SB Dunk High. This event occurred when a storm caused the loss of over 60,000 pairs of Nike shoes during a ship's journey from Korea to the US. Some Air Flight 89s from the spill were discovered washed up on the California coast.

The Nike SB Dunk High Atlas Lost at Sea (2020) features an off-white base on the upper, complemented by blue accents on the Swoosh, outsole, and ankle collar. Cracked suede and a distressed midsole, along with cream-colored laces, replicate the weathered condition of the shoes after being adrift in the ocean for months. The tongue design is borrowed from the Air Flight 89, featuring the recognizable typography but modified to read "Nike SB Atlas."

This unique design serves as both an original creation and a nod to the memorable event that left a lasting impression on sneaker enthusiasts. It expands the Dunk range, bringing joy to the community.
